I hope you enjoyed a safe and happy holiday with your family! I have three days off this week so I took our decor down yesterday. As much as I love it, I wanted to get it down while I was still off and though it’s not as festive around here anymore, I’ll admit the house feels super clean without the tree and extra decor.
Below I’m sharing below a few photos of some of our holiday home decor. I kept it pretty simple and stuck with greenery, metallics and black and white ribbon.

The greenery on our TV cabinet is from Ballard Designs.
Our accent chairs are here and the leopard print pillow is here. The plaid throw is inespensive and so cozy! We also use this knit blanket with tassels on our sofa and it’s really big and comes in several colors.
We moved our gold bookcase to the wall it was originally on. We tested it for awhile on the wall by our kitchen but it felt a little cramped there. We’re contemplating having some open shelving built on that wall instead since it’s so bare. I added greenery from Trader Joe’s and JOY stocking holders (here).
On Christmas Day, Harper woke up early so we went downstairs and she opened a few presents until Lincoln joined us and we stopped for a breakfast break. Then we had family and friends over and enjoyed a full day spent in Christmas jammies.
We spent much of the day in our playroom. Harper is obsessed with the Calico Critters dollhouse my mom got for her and Lincoln sits next to her destroying the rooms she sets up, so they have a nice little routine going on! Lincoln got plenty of toys of his own but of course he insists on playing with big sister’s toys
We didn’t take many photos on Christmas Day, but we had a wonderful day with family and for that I’m very thankful. Here’s to an incredible 2017!
