When I shared some of our holiday home décor recently, I got a lot of questions about how we hang our wreaths on tile, windows, wood trim, etc.
I’ve been using a combination of 3M command hooks and suction cup hooks for years to hang all of our holiday wreaths and garlands! They’re both so easy to use and don’t ruin your walls or wood trim.
The first type of hook I use are suction cup hooks. These are ideal for hanging wreaths (or garland) on glass, mirrors and shiny surfaces (I use them on our subway tile backsplash). Below you can see how I used s suction cup to affix a preserved boxwood wreath to the subway tile in our kitchen, a wreath to the mirror in our master bedroom and the wreaths on the outside of our windows. I also have and love these suction cup hooks.

The second type of hook is a 3M command hook. They come in a multitude of sizes (the larger the hook, the more weight it can hold) and are easy to remove without ruining your paint. I leave the clear ones I use on our front windows up year round (the hooks, not the wreaths) because they’re so high up and you can hardly see them. In terms of the ribbon, I cut a small slit into the top of the ribbon and slide it right onto the clear command hook, as you can see with the window wreath below.
